Dithyramb Of Miscalculations

And just like that -

gone.

As time spirals forward

a date, a photo, a song

or road rarely travelled

pops up at odd moments

and the broken shard

of a mending soul

sends a sonic ache

that no deity can salve.

Beethoven - Violin Concerto in D Major

Soar and sprinkle notes

like the stars coming out

one by one in the evening

until the scintillant sky becomes

a melodic firmament.

Sunburn Attraction

You love the morning.

Sunlight slinks succinctly

across your solar smile

with an intensity so severe

that there is no form

of SPF protection

and that is my fatal flaw.

Escaping The Hive Swarm

The need to serve the queen

is not embedded in my DNA.

Royal Jelly,

the white secretion,

is not my forte.

I’ll sting if I have to

but I would prefer

yellow pollen powder.

The flight is the thrill.

The nectar a byproduct

of air current wings.

Stuck In Cement

I cannot make up my mind right now.

No matter how I

Divide or delay

Every answer

Contains errors or flaws.

I flip coins but am unable to

Stay with the result.

I am just out of it.

On another day,

     No problem.
