Studies in Sound was formed to share audio experiments by a loose collective of folks back in 2024. So far it's been mostly long-form, textural pieces, but anything is possible in the future. Many of these compositions work best at the edge of perception, but they also hold up pretty well when they are listened to more actively. The main goal is to share them and possibly spark some new collaborations or inspire others.

Studies in Sound is an ongoing series of recordings that to-date includes volumes focused on sound collage, field recordings, improvisation, and immersive soundscapes. Each installment treads the line between foreground and background and can be listened to at low or high volume levels for a different experience.
